Boston Gear XFCR20 Shaft Coupling Insert, Rubber, for Use with Coupling FC20

This Boston Gear XFCR20 coupling insert absorbs shock when added to a 3-jaw shaft coupling. It is made of rubber for resistance to oil and reducing noise at high speeds. This coupling insert combines with two FC20 3-jaw hubs (sold separately) to make a complete coupling, and no lubrication is needed after assembly.Flexible couplings are used to link two rotating shafts that are not aligned in order to transmit the rotational power, known as torque, from one shaft to the other. Most flexible couplings consist of two hubs and a middle assembly; each hub attaches to a shaft while the middle assembly flexes between the hubs to accommodate the misalignment of the two shafts.
