Then, with the flip of a switch, the bulb tester becomes a fuse tester making troubleshooting a blown fuse quick and easy. However, the tools main function as an adjustable sensitivity non-contact voltage tester can be used year-round to test for the presence of AC voltage prior to working on any electrical project. The sensitivity adjustment component allows you to detect low voltage from only 12 VAC to up to 600 VAC, for standard residential connections. Because it's non-contact you never risk touching live wires in order to determine the presence of voltage and the unit provides both a 360 deg bright red light and an audible beeping indication of the presence of voltage. Comfortable rubber over-molding provides slip-resistant grip with intuitive placement of the voltage sensitivity wheel near the thumb for ease of use.
