Michelin Energy Saver A/S

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

All weather traction

Fuel efficient drive

Lower road noise levels

Reduced road vibrations

Longer lasting tread life

Excellent durability

OVERVIEW

The Michelin Energy Saver A/S is a touring and high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model has some highway terrain, light trucks sizes as well.

The tire has great all weather road gripping ability due to the special tread pattern and the silica-based high grip compound. It performs well in dry, wet and light winter conditions thanks to the excellent road traction. The wide circumferential and lateral grooves effectively resist hydroplaning by evacuating water from below the tire footprint. The superb all weather traction allows the tire to be safely used in differing weather situations.

The model is one of the most fuel efficient tires currently available on the tire market, as it uses Michelin's Green X technology to keep its rolling resistance down. The silica-based tire compound keeps the tire cool which prevents heat from generating while the tire is in transit. The lowered rolling resistance allows the vehicle to keep the tire in motion with less energy used. As a result, the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are decreased, making the tire environmentally friendly and budget conscious at the same time.

It offers a comfortable and quiet driving experience. The ComfortControl technology helps lower the vibrations and the road and pattern noise experienced in the vehicle's cabin by using a computer optimized design and precision manufacturing. The tread design's variable pitch cancels out the road noise generated while the tires are in motion and offers a quiet drive. The tire's overall shape maintains constant road contact and it follows the road surface closely, which lessens the road vibrations felt by the passengers. This makes the drive more enjoyable.

Michelin used the MaxTouch Construction during the manufacturing of this model. This increases the road contact and evenly spreads the driving forces out across the tread area. The equal distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking prevents irregular wear patterns from forming on the tread, which results in a longer lasting usability and tire tread life. As the model is usable for an extended period of time it is more cost efficient.

The Energy Saver A/S internal structure features two steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped polyamide on the polyester cord casing, which improves the durability, fuel efficiency and the comfort levels. The tire maintains its optimal shape under the driving pressure which ensures that it can perform to its highest capabilities.

This specific tire is marked with NR1 as it is the original equipment of Nisan vehicles.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
